South Florida Teams Bring Relief to Texas Flood Victims

Among them: volunteers with the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), a Doral-based nonprofit that delivers emergency aid to communities impacted by disasters. Over the weekend, GEM volunteers spent hours loading supplies — everything from food to hygiene kits — into trucks bound for Texas.
