Second Shipment of Supplies Sent to Colombia as GEM Helps Survivors in Aftermath of Deadly Quake

A DHL humanitarian flight carrying 40 tons of emergency supplies — food, water and medical aid — left Miami International Airport for Colombia, a day after 60 tons of donated goods flew to Cali aboard Avianca Cargo. GEM teams are on the ground across the earthquake-hit regions, working alongside the Colombian and U.S. governments to reach families left living in tents.

“Everybody is working together, we already have teams on the ground in almost all the regions, working in tandem with the Colombian government, with the United States government, and with all of our volunteers here, and we are doing everything we can to try to make life better,” said Capponi.
